Royal Commonwealth Pool

The Royal Commonwealth Pool (RCP) has temporarily closed its doors.

Fear not though, the closure is to allow the City of Edinburgh Council to completely refurbish the venue before a whole new period of RCP’s life can begin. At this point the refurbishment is expected to take until 2011.

The new RCP will offer you enhanced and improved facilities to enjoy including:

New 25m teaching pool with a moveable floor
Improved 50m pool that can be split by a boom into two 25m pools
New 25m diving pool with a moveable floor
New dry land training area for divers
Larger gym with three fitness studios/activity areas
New changing village including a family changing area
New reception area and cafe
New children’s play area complete with a party room
New multi purpose rooms
